The All-Seeing Chair is a bespoke chair designed and made for the fashion brand House of Errors. Referencing their signature all-seeing eye motif, it’s designed to capture the bold essence of the brand and engaging with it aims to leave the same impact as wearing House of Errors’ clothes. It translates the fashion language into interior language using furniture vocabulary. A lounge chair is the hoodie of furniture – its purpose is to make you feel comfortable, relaxed and casual. However, just as House of Errors takes casual silhouettes and turns them into extraordinary pieces using print and embroidery, so does the chair become a throne.
The chair concept won the House of Errors creative competition in early 2022, leading to its in-house development and hand-made construction at the brand’s office. In 2023, the final product was nominated for the Textile Award and won the Fast Track Prize at the Young Furniture Makers exhibition.
