Maria Gil is a Polish furniture designer based in Milan. She studied design at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan and University of the Arts London, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Product and Furniture Design. Her practice is deeply context-driven, learning new processes case by case, and uses everyday objects as storytellers that challenge the status quo. Her work has been exhibited in London, New York, and Milan, and featured in publications such as Dezeen, Vogue or Financial Times. Maria’s practice has been recognised in numerous competitions, most notably winning the Young Furniture Makers Prize in 2023.
